Meet Domenico

Born in Pietrasanta in 1966, Domenico Monteforte graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara. His artwork has been commissioned and exhibited across the globe from San Fransisco to Shanghai, with pieces now hanging in prestigious collections including those of the Italian Senate and Pope Benedict XVI. He received the Artist Career Award at the Two Worlds Festival in 2012 and the Artist Lifetime Award in 2020, previously awarded to Giorgio de Chirico and Joan Miró.

Upcoming shows include a series of solo events across Italy entitled "Terre di Toscana", a solo show in Kyoto and Osaka, Japan, under the patronage of the Italian Consolate and a musical solo event in London's Royal College of Music.

As of 2021, Domenico is the Artistic Director of the TV show "L'Arte in Cucina" on SKY, based on the artist's cookbook of the same name, now in its second season.
